Located along the coast of the Sentosa Island, W Singapore consists of one building with one floor underground, seven above and 240 guestrooms, with the building itself forking into two blocks, just like a wave hitting the coast.

It has a wide range of amenities, including a banquet hall that can accommodate 500 people, a wharf for yachts, as well as many high-end restaurants, swimming pools and private spas. Over 3000 unique designs have been applied to the lights and knobs of the exterior, lobby, elevators, guestrooms and all amenities.

The exterior of the building features glass with low heat conductivity (low-E glass), as well as protruding balconies and canopy louvers intended to block sunlight to keep indoor temperature lower by up to 3℃ without requiring air conditioning.

Another highlight of the hotel is the adoption of diverse ecofriendly devices, including a heat exchange system that reuses the cooled air discharged outside.

All these design features led the hotel to receive BCA’s Green Mark- Platinum, the highest rating of the scheme, which is one of the world’s three major certification schemes for green buildings.
