Ssangyong regains its tiger's eye share in Singapore by awarding Changi East Road Condominium, a S$110 mil project.

On November 22, 2000, Ssangyong E&C has been awarded Changi East Road Condominium, S$110 mil (equivalent to U$63 mil) project from City Development Ltd. (CDL), one of most active investment & development house under Hong Leung Group in Singapore.
This project is schemed on design & build basis, comprising of three 10-story buildings and eight 10-story buildings with combined 598 units condominium and its total floor area of 74,342 square meter. The construction period is 31 months from the date of commencement.
The award has been propelled by Ssangyong''s client oriented efforts from the planning stage of the project, and finally been selected as the main contractor owing to the client''s confidence on its proven records in quality and reliability through its past performances. Tough competitions were come from leading contractors of various nationalities such as Japan, France, Australia and Korea as well as Singapore following the tender in March 2000.
The award is meaningful specially in respect that Ssangyong regains its tiger''s eye share based upon its excellent construction capability and reputation in overseas market, overwhelming the currently bearish market situation in the Southeast Asian region.
