Ssangyong jointly won the construction of Jumeirah Emirates Towers with BESIX, a Belgian construction company, marking its first step into Dubai’s construction market.
Having been active in the UAE for over 30 years, BESIX was seeking to expand its presence in the market.
It approached Ssangyong to form a joint venture for the project, as it highly regarded SsangYong’s reputation and building expertise, as evidenced in its participation in the construction of many luxury hotels around the world.
Standing 309m high, the Jumeirah Emirates Towers was regarded as one of the top 3 hotels in Dubai and named the third tallest hotel in the world when it was completed.
