On April 24 2003, Korea Investors Service Inc.(‘KIS’), a joint venture with Moody’s Investors Service in Korea, upgraded CP(Commercial Paper) Rating of Ssangyong Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. by two grades from B to A3-.

Former rating: B (evaluated on 22 August 2002)
Current rating: A3- (evaluated on 24 April 2003)

CP rating is given by KIS based on the result of evaluating the capability to redeem short-term debt and the stability of a company.

Rating from A1 to A3 are considered as investment-graded, having enough capacity to repay on time, while those within categories from B to C are considered as speculative grade.
