Ssangyong E&C wins KRW 15.7 billion order

A consortium led by Ssangyong E&C won an order worth KRW 15.7 billion on August 25 from the Army’s Central Accounting Unit to build a facility at a site in the city of Gwangju, Gyeonggi province. Ssangyong Engineering has a 90 percent stake (or KRW 14.1 billion) in the consortium.
This is the first time in last 10 years that Ssangyong E&C has received an order from the Army. The order calls for Ssangyong E&C to build a total of 40 military buildings and feature landscaping.
The construction is due to be completed by November 30, 2007.
