On 7th, Ssangyong E&C confirmed that the company has won 7 contracts for the domestic and international non-residential projects, including civil engineering and non-residential civilian projects.

Overseas, the company has received 105 Million USD (about 120 Billion KRW) for the construction of four apartments (Total Floor Area 112,926㎡) for Royal Atlantis hotel staffs by Dubai Investment Agency (ICD). And in the Dubai Silicon Oasis(DSO) area, currently under development with the aim of becoming the 'Silicon Valley of Dubai', SsangYong E&C has received 16 Million USD (about 20.0 Billion KRW) for an 8-story residential building Total Floor Area 13,804㎡) project.

A company source said, "After ICD became our largest shareholder, we won 5 contracts only in Dubai, including Royal Atlantis Hotel (840 Million USD), up to 1.5 Billion USD."

Domestically, the company showed strong performance, mainly on non-residential civilian projects and civil engineering projects. In this August alone, the company has won contracts worth of about 120 Billion KRW total, including Nexen Tire Magok R&D Center (about 80 Billion KRW), Sungsil University 120th anniversary Hall (about 20 Billion KRW), and Midan City Incheon Resort Complex. On civil engineering projects, the company has won contracts worth 120 Billion KRW, including Subway Line 8 Byeolnae Line Extension Area 1 (about 80 Billion KRW) and Jeondong-Cheongju Main Gas Line project (about 40 Billion KRW).

"Even though the housing market is in slump after Ǝ·2 Real Estate Measures', we are prepared, and diversifying our non-residential portfolio through international civil engineering and civilian projects. It'll bear fruit in near future", a company source said.
