First Apartment Complex To Be Built After the Merger of Two Housing Brands

2018-12-19

The first apartment complex under the marque “The Platinum,” a new brand launched in October by merging Ssangyong E&C’s two existing housing brands, will be unveiled soon. To be constructed in the Sangok 2-2 zone (179, Sangok-dong, Bupyeong-gu, Incheon), the complex is slated to be offered for preconstruction sale in January 2019. Through this redevelopment project, the zone will become home to 10 apartment buildings (3B/23F) featuring a total of 811 units, each with an exclusive usage area of 39-119 ㎡. Among these units, 408 units will be available for regular preconstruction sales, excluding those reserved for members of the local housing association.

Ssangyong The Platinum Bupyeong

Ssangyong The Platinum Bupyeong boasts convenient transportation connections. It has easy access to major roads (e.g. Wonjeok-ro, Bupyeong-daero, the Gyeongin Expressway and the Seoul Ring Expressway) and Sangok Station (provisional name) along the planned extension of Seoul Metro Line No. 7 scheduled to open in late 2020. Plus, prestigious schools (e.g. Hanil Elementary School, Sangok Middle School, Se-il High School, Myeongsin Girls’ High School and Incheon Foreign Language High School) are located within walking distance. There is also a convenient residential infrastructure already in place, including Wonjeoksan Sports Park, Lotte Mart, Lotte Cinema, Bupyeong-gu Office and Bupyeong Market. Moreover, the neighboring areas (e.g. the Sangok 2-2 and Sangok 6 zones) are expected to witness major redevelopment involving the construction of some 15,000 housing units.

Another advantage of Ssangyong The Platinum Bupyeong is its superb floor plans and building layout. To begin with, most units will be small to mid-size, the most popular unit sizes among buyers who plan to live in the units. In addition, units will be designed to face mostly south for improved sunlight and ventilation. At the same time, the ground level will be car-free, providing a clean and safe environment. The premises will also feature themed playgrounds, rest facilities and themed parks (a Community Plaza, Kids’ Garden and Wildflower Garden).

Other dazzling features of the complex include, for instance, the installation of LED lights in all units, a home network system, self-service laundry rooms and an unmanned parcel delivery system. Plus, the “One Pass” system will provide smart-key holders with automatic opening of common entrances. The e-book library will offer access to reading material for free via smartphones and PCs. “Sangok-dong, Bupyeong is a non-regulated part of the Seoul Capital Area and allows for an easy commute into Seoul, making it popular among first-time home buyers such as newlyweds and young people,” said a staff member of Ssangyong E&C. “With the successful preconstruction sale of this complex as our first move, the company will begin the earnest construction of some 7,000 Platinum units in Gyeonggi Province, Incheon, Gwangju and Busan in 2019.” The employee went on to add, “With the recent merger of the company’s two housing brands, we will step up efforts to re-emerge as a premium housing giant by expanding private housing projects in Seoul, the Seoul Capital Area and major regional cities.”
