Ssangyong Engineering & Construction receives Architectural Culture Prize from Gyeonggi Provincial Office

Ssangyong Engineering & Construction’s Sweet dot Home apartments in Bucheon (Project Manager: Yang Dong-sup) and Sports Complex in Goyang (Project Manager: Kim Hong-tae) received the Gold Prize in the sector of residential architectures and the Distinguished Work Prize in the sector of non-residential architectures, respectively, at a ceremony sponsored by the Gyeonggi Provincial Office. Managing Director Moon Bo-hyun and other officers of Ssangyong concerned attended the ceremony held at the Gyeonggi Small and Medium Business Center on October 29. The annual prizes are presented to designers, builders and building owners who build architectures of cultural value. This year marks the ninth anniversary.

The Sweet.dot Home in Bucheon, comprised of a total of 561 households, including two hundred 41 pyeong (135m²)-sized households, one hundred and seventy five 52-pyeong (172 m²)-sized households, etc., features the theme of “a nature-friendly living space.” Offering a pleasant landscape, with all cars parked underground and roadways and sidewalks completely separated, the complex is spoken highly of as the best one in the city. It also won the Gold Prize in the 2003 Best Apartment Contest held by the Maeil Economic Daily.

The Sports Complex in Goyang, comprised of the main stadium, ancillary stadiums and other accessory buildings, is equipped with an internationally certified 8-lane track and grass planted and grown in accordance with the USGA rules. Its work was completed in September 2003.
